Minister of Justice Meets Turkish Ambassador to Strengthen Justice and Law Enforcement Cooperation

Mogadishu, Somalia – July 2, 2025

The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Macalin Mahmoud, held a productive meeting today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Somalia, H.E. Alper Aktaş.

The meeting, which was also attended by the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Colonel Muhyidiin Osman, focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of justice, judiciary, criminal investigations, and institutional capacity development for Somalia’s justice and law enforcement agencies.

Both sides reiterated their commitment to strengthening the long-standing partnership between Somalia and Türkiye, particularly in supporting justice sector reforms and the professionalization of investigative and judicial institutions.
