Mumina Sheikh Omar, the current State Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs in Somalia, holds a Master’s in International Relations and Diplomacy from Kampala International University and a Bachelor’s in Law from Hamar University in Mogadishu. With a career spanning legal advocacy, governance, and human rights, she previously served in key roles including Deputy Chair at the independent Constitutional Review and Implementation Commission, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Women and Human Rights, and as a Member of the Federal Parliament of Somalia.
